A “God damned piece of paper” if ever I saw one.

As promised, Amy Goodman is on the case! Who better to interview a hero then a heroine. Who says America doesn’t have any role models?

Thanks for posting that Cliff, but the Indictment that you link to is missing a page. If you follow the Amy Goodman link that Larry has posted, you can read the missing page in its entirety.

Speaking of the missing page, one of the allegations of the Indictment is that “The Act [Federal Onshore Oil and Gas Leasing Reform Act] established procedures that must be followed by the Bureau of Land Management in conducting the oral bidding process.” The interesting thing about that is that the Interior Secretary has nullified oil and gas leases for about 130,000 acres involved in the December auction, including (if DeChristopher is correct) the leases on which DeChristopher bid, at least in part because of failures by the government to complete the environmental review process (i.e., to obey the law). Considering the government’s own admitted failures, its pretty astonishing that Tolman has the balls to go forward with the prosecution.

I think the date on the indictment carries a lot of significance.

The same thing occurred to me, Richard.
