Via Raw Story. Ill Doctrine’s Jay Smooth explains why New York State legislators are idiots for trying to make anonymous (or, really, pseudonymous) comments illegal.
Voltaire never wrote, but probably agreed with the statement, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Why can’t everyone accept that in a free society?

Well, well, well..the persecution of those who do not wish to be known is found to be no merit. Having a pseudonym is free speech.
Always knew that Cliff and those who sanctioned those with monikers were anti-constitutionalists, fascists, or at the very least control freaks.
F**k them very mightily, and preferably without lube. Interesting it is an obvious hallmark of progressive leaning blogs. Progressives nigh always have the heart of a fascist, unless they are the stupid progressives, who have a heart of tin.

Have you noticed the hallmark of right-wing blogs? They either don’t allow comments or you have to register your username first.
Some comments are so out there that a sane person would never write them under his/her real name. So there’s that.

Titus V:
You know very well it’s not your use of an anonymous name that has gained spurn here, it’s your use of dozens of anonymous names – sometimes three on one thread – that have made me angry. You have even been allowed to comment after using MY name here once.
Poor, picked on, Tutus.
