In a debate over who hated the Affordable Care Act the most, idiot Idaho Rep. Brent Crane declared:
“One little lady got tired of the federal government telling her what to do,” Assistant Majority Leader Brent Crane of Nampa said during Wednesday’s debate on Gov. Butch Otter’s bill establishing a state-run health insurance exchange. “I’ve reached that point, Mr. Speaker, that I’m tired of giving in to the federal government.”

It would be funny if it weren’t, you know, so very wrong.
Rosa Parks was violating a local law. Jim Crow was a system of state and local laws.
When asked about his glaring ignorance, Crane described it as a slight error and expressed annoyance that it was being reported in the press. When asked if he’d maybe actually studied the Civil Rights movement, he said:
“I’m sure we went over that in history class in high school and possibly in history in college, possibly,” said Crane, who graduated from Nampa Christian High School and has a bachelor’s in political science from BSU.
That’s a ringing endorsement of Nampa Christian High school and BSU’s poli sci program.
Courtesy of Wonkette we get a Molly Ivins quote to apply to Rep. Crane:“If his IQ slips any lower, we’ll have to water him twice a day.”

In the new poll, 45 percent of voters approve of the job Obama is doing; 48 percent disapprove. Those are the worst numbers Marist has given Obama since November 2011.

Calling Rosa Parks a champion of states’ rights is the kind of up-is-downism right-wing Republicans are known for.

Brew, I think I know what you are trying to argue with these vote ratios, but I’m not sure you understand the nature of the process and procedure.
Its more complex than the average conservative authoritarian can grasp. I can recommend some books if you would like to understand better. Just ask.
