Republicans Eat Their Own Liver

Liver; Leader? What’s the difference?

Mitch McConnell (R-KY) doesn’t seem to be doing the trick for the radical righties, so they’ve decided to throw him over the balcony like an inquisitive reporter.

Think I’m crazy? Watch this:

h/t goes to BradBlog. Where else?

    Weird huh?

  2. #2 by Nathan Erkkila on February 15, 2014 - 11:09 pm

I don’t really need to say anything about this. When you are so conservative, you think that Mitch McConnell, the person who said his only goal was to make Obama a one-term president is too liberal, then you have gone off the deep end. This isn’t even a joke anymore because the trend has been going increasingly further to the right side of the spectrum.

  3. #3 by Larry Bergan on February 15, 2014 - 11:37 pm

The real money resides at the right side. GO THERE!

    • #4 by Nathan Erkkila on February 16, 2014 - 12:02 am

I’m seeing the opposite, there are Republican congressmen and senators who have huge funding for their campaign and yet they are authentically being challenged by these deep south rednecks who oppose birth control pills.

      • #5 by Larry Bergan on February 16, 2014 - 2:00 am

        If I may repeat myself.

The real money resides at the right side. GO THERE!

        • #6 by Nathan Erkkila on February 16, 2014 - 2:11 am

It’s more in the Mitch McConnell area of politics. A lot of tea party congressmen lost their campaign donors after the shutdown which harmed big business. Of course the Tea Party doesn’t care about the rich. All they care about is destroying Obama and everything he stands for.

  4. #7 by Larry Bergan on February 16, 2014 - 8:36 am

    Nathan:

I’m not going to let you throw that in there. The “Tea Party” is all about the rich and the white. No other reason makes any sense.

    • #8 by Nathan Erkkila on February 16, 2014 - 12:40 pm

They were funded by the rich because they saw it as an opportunity to keep a republican foothold in the US. The last year, 144 congressmen voted against preventing the default. Understand what would happen if a default occurred. There are many companies that get billions from the US government. A default would harm them. Hell, if a default occurred, the entire world would have suffered an economic collapse that would eclipse the Great Depression. Do you honestly think that stunt works in the interest of the rich? That’s a problem because that means they are discussing something that doesn’t have to do with Obama.

  5. #9 by cav on February 16, 2014 - 9:02 am

They’re looking for candidates who can WIN even while the bar set by democrats is trenched. Its still not a given when you’re trying to ‘function’ in this bizarro-land ‘reality’ they’ve been working on so hard and so long.

  6. #10 by Larry Bergan on February 16, 2014 - 10:26 am

If there’s going to be a bar, it should be buried. Otherwise, somebody might trip or something.

  7. #11 by brewski on February 16, 2014 - 10:37 am

    A campaign ad? Really?
    Who cares?

  8. #12 by Larry Bergan on February 16, 2014 - 11:02 am

    brewski:

    Content matters.

  9. #13 by brewski on February 16, 2014 - 11:04 am

Yes it does. Obama’s campaign ads said he would pay down the national debt. That was his content. His ads’ content are a bad joke.

  10. #14 by Larry Bergan on February 16, 2014 - 12:12 pm

He HAS paid down the national debt while putting the war budget up front. What are you talking about?

  11. #16 by Larry Bergan on February 16, 2014 - 1:06 pm

That’s a cute site. I’m banging my head, trying to find out how it relates to Obama.

Wish I could, but I live in Utah! Right next to Colorado. My tax dollars are spent preventing dangerous weeds that I used to grow in my closet from coming across the border.

  12. #17 by brewski on February 16, 2014 - 1:41 pm

You said he HAS paid down the national debt. Where did you get that idea from?

  13. #18 by Larry Bergan on February 16, 2014 - 3:02 pm

The same place YOU get stuff!

    Outta my ass!

    Smelly and poignant.

    Nope what?

    • #22 by brewski on February 16, 2014 - 5:00 pm

Nope, I don’t get my stuff out of your ass. I get my stuff from credible sources.

It’s important to remember the distinction between the federal deficit and the National Debt. The Obama administration has implemented deficit reductions totaling $4.3 trillion since August 2010. Meanwhile the debt has gone up from $13.3 trillion to $17.3 trillion.

While deficit reduction (aka economic sabotage) remains popular with right-wing Republicans, responsible Americans hate it. The country needs economic help, not austerity.

    • #26 by brewski on February 17, 2014 - 12:43 pm

He said he would pay down the debt.

      • #27 by Richard Warnick on February 17, 2014 - 4:24 pm

When and where? Link, please. We should not have to ask you every time.

        • #28 by Richard Warnick on February 17, 2014 - 4:33 pm

Here it is in context. President Obama did not promise to reduce the National Debt, absent a tax increase on the wealthy. Which Congress won’t vote for.

“The Choice” – Obama For America TV Ad (Video)

In other words, disingenuous but not a lie. It’s like saying, “If we had some ham, we could have ham & eggs, if we had some eggs.”

          • #29 by brewski on February 17, 2014 - 5:31 pm

Obama has not and never has presented a plan to pay down the debt. Show me Obama’s plan to pay down the debt. He lied and you lie.

          • #30 by Richard Warnick on February 17, 2014 - 8:23 pm

His “plan,” if you can call it that, was for the GOP to raise taxes on the rich. Fat chance, I know. That’s why I called his statement disingenuous.

          • #31 by brewski on February 17, 2014 - 8:42 pm

            Show me his plan.

          • #32 by cav on February 17, 2014 - 9:06 pm

A man, a plan, Panama Canal? Derp!

          • #33 by Richard Warnick on February 18, 2014 - 8:16 am

There was no plan, except what was in the video. That you did not link to, because then we would understand the quote in context. :-)

          • #34 by brewski on February 18, 2014 - 9:11 am

There is no plan? Except for Obama’s statement that there was one? So in other words, he lied.

          • #35 by Richard Warnick on February 18, 2014 - 9:51 am

I would call it a hypothetical statement. IF the rich paid their fair share of taxes, THEN we could pay down the National Debt. This is common knowledge.

          • #36 by brewski on February 18, 2014 - 11:03 am

That isn’t what he said. He said he had a plan, which he doesn’t, so it is a lie.

          • #37 by Richard Warnick on February 18, 2014 - 11:50 am

Here’s the quote from the YouTube video:

“I believe the only way to create an economy built to last is to strengthen the middle class. Asking the wealthy to pay a little more so we can pay down our debt in a balanced way. So that we can afford to invest in education, manufacturing, and homegrown American energy for good middle class jobs. Sometimes politics can seem very small. But the choice you face, it couldn’t be bigger.”

I know you are keen to demonstrate that Dems lie as much as right-wing Republicans. But that’s not true. It’s been said that politicians campaign in poetry, and govern in prose. The difference between the two does not in itself constitute lying.

          • #38 by brewski on February 18, 2014 - 7:52 pm

Obama made the same lie using different words in multiple different commercials. He said he had a plan to pay down the national debt. No such plan existed. He lied. Just because it was in a campaign doesn’t make it any less of a lie.

Sort of like “everyone’s premiums will be lower”.

            Lie lie lie.

Notice how Cliff is pretty quiet these days.

          • #39 by Richard Warnick on February 19, 2014 - 8:03 am

Saying “lie” three times does not make it a fact. Got a link to where President Obama said he had a plan to pay down the National Debt?

  20. #40 by Larry Bergan on February 17, 2014 - 4:56 pm

You couldn’t get through brewski’s thick head with a trephine, but Richard does it best using words.

Sometimes it just takes a millennium or so.

  21. #41 by brewski on February 19, 2014 - 9:48 am

It won’t let me link youtube.
    He said it.
    Lie lie lie.

    • #42 by Richard Warnick on February 19, 2014 - 12:04 pm

      Try copy and paste.

      • #43 by brewski on February 19, 2014 - 12:48 pm

copy and paste what? the link? I did and when I submit it just vanishes. I assume OU has a filter which does not allow you tube links.

        • #44 by Richard Warnick on February 19, 2014 - 6:38 pm

Copy and paste the embed code.

          • #45 by brewski on February 20, 2014 - 10:00 am

I don’t know what that means.

Funny how it says “Federal authorities” made the arrests, because last time I checked the Democrats controlled the federal government. ;-)

Hard for the FBI to ignore arson.

  24. #51 by Larry Bergan on February 21, 2014 - 8:02 pm

    brewski:

The last time you came up with union violence it turned out to be completely bogus. A play act. I’ll wait to see if these “thugs” turn out to be paid shills who know they’re not going to face any charges.

Besides that, you only seem to be able to come up with one story a year.

  25. #52 by brewski on February 22, 2014 - 10:05 pm

    Tell it to the FBI.

You are defending people who burned down a church.

  26. #53 by Larry Bergan on February 23, 2014 - 12:23 am

I wouldn’t defend a republican if it crapped golden jewelry.

  27. #54 by brewski on February 23, 2014 - 9:59 am

Democrat union thugs burned down a church. You should be ashamed.

  28. #55 by Larry Bergan on February 24, 2014 - 6:06 pm

    brewski:

Unions don’t burn churches down. What would be the point?

  29. #56 by brewski on February 24, 2014 - 8:24 pm

Yes they did. Ask the FBI.

  30. #57 by Larry Bergan on February 24, 2014 - 8:39 pm

    Try asking Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.

You’re probably too young; forget it!

  31. #59 by Larry Bergan on February 25, 2014 - 12:24 am

Very official looking. If I could trust anything I saw today, I would be moved.

  32. #60 by brewski on February 26, 2014 - 8:30 pm

What you are saying is that you don’t want to let evidence get in the way of your feelings.

  33. #61 by brewski on February 26, 2014 - 9:38 pm

Larry, here is your party sticking up for the little guy:

“InfoGroup investors cited more than $146,000 paid by Gupta to fly Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton to Acapulco, Mexico, in January 2002, according to the suit. The Clintons traveled on Gupta’s jet to Switzerland, Hawaii and Jamaica as well, according to court filings.

Bill Clinton also sailed on Gupta’s $3 million-dollar yacht, the American Princess, bought with InfoGroup funds, shareholders alleged. The 80-foot yacht “typically travels with an all-female crew,” according to Delaware court filings.”

    • #62 by cav on February 27, 2014 - 7:25 am

      ‘All female crew…”

      Misandrist prick!

  34. #63 by Larry Bergan on March 1, 2014 - 12:25 pm

    WHAT!

Somebody didn’t get a picture of Clinton on a boat with all those babies!

    THAT’S THE STORY!

  35. #64 by Larry Bergan on March 1, 2014 - 12:32 pm

Actually, I don’t like the Clintons anyway.

Thanks to our electoral system, we’re stuck with Hillary. :(

    She’s the shoe-in – I guess.
