Trump Ready To Support ‘Entitlement Reform’ And You Know What THAT Means

The Hill reports:

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, said Democratic efforts to tie Trump to campaign comments about preserving entitlement programs miss the mark, and that his talks with Trump show the president is prepared to back entitlement reform so long as current beneficiaries don’t see their benefits cut.

…“Some people are taking his comments to say he doesn’t want to look at anything on entitlement reform,” said Meadows. “In my conversations with him, that was not the case. It was more about the benefits that seniors have earned currently.”

As a candidate, Trump promised to “save Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security without cuts.”

This is a huge broken promise by Trump, since he campaigned as being the only TeaGOPer who promised never to touch social safety net programs.

Who wants reform. Can’t we “streamline” it instead?

    O/T but worrying…

First of all, in a normal administration this guy would never even be invited to visit the White House. Secondly, WTF?

2016 is the Flight 93 election: charge the cockpit or you die. You may die anyway. You—or the leader of your party—may make it into the cockpit and not know how to fly or land the plane. There are no guarantees.

If Smedley Butler were alive today, he just might take somebody up on a plan to seize the white house.

This explains why Trump wanted to fire the guy in charge of security at the inauguration at the moment of his getting sworn in.

These people are goddam nuts! They also have luxury panic rooms. I actually think their plan is to start a race war and then disappear for a while. Somebody should find out where these shelters are and block them.

Did anybody run into the new, very long, fear-of-armageddon, hyper-ad by the NRA? It even has big-game killer Donald Trump Jr. in it.

Either they’re afraid gun sales are going to die because we no longer have a black president, OR, they are so afraid of peaceful protesters, they’re going to open fire.

Maybe history will repeat itself, and the French will come and help us out again.

Before Election Day there were ads for last-chance guns and ammo sales because everybody thought Hillary would be President. Then after Trump won I actually heard a lame ad trying to sell guns to liberals. We know that owning a gun is a mark of stupidity.

Tonight must have been gun night on PBS.

An excellent new treatment of the Ruby Ridge tragedy, which gives both sides of the story and illustrates how all the wrong decisions on both sides resulted in gun play that never should have happened.

Then, there was another excellent program done partially with cartoons, intimately documenting the Texas sniper incident in the sixties.

    Guns suck!
