Protecting kids from gay penguin unions

tangoThe American Library Association has released its Top Ten list of the Most Frequently Challenged Books of 2008. And for the third year in a row And Tango Makes Three, a cute little book about penguins, is number one on the list. Hey, who could possibly object to penguins? Who would want that story banned?

Plenty of people — when they find out it’s a story of two male penguins that adopt and care for an orphaned penguin egg.

Good Lord! Gay penguin unions! Gay penguin adoption! Ban that book! Better yet, burn that book!
