Fox and Friends Hires Dirty Old Man to Comment on ‘Holiday’ Political Correctness/”War on Christmas”
Two of the biggest Douchbags on Fox News (and they are ALL douchbags down to the interns) Gretchen “Cougar” Carlson and her sidekick Skippy The Douchbag Doocey, stepped in Murdock doggy doo again.
Fox News continued its fight against the so-called “War on Christmas” on Thursday by going straight to the source: Santa Claus.
“In its most absurd defense against the war on Christmas yet, the morning show had Santa Claus himself stop by on Thursday to explain why he refuses to say “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”.
“Fox and Friends” hosted Santa impersonator Sal Lizard to speak out about “political correctness.” “You’ve been around for a long time doing this,” host Gretchen Carlson asked. “What do you make of the political correctness part of our culture? Have you seen it change over time?”
“We have to go to war against the people who enable the gun violence, the people who stop us from keeping guns out of the hands of mentally unstable people, of felons, and that means the NRA leadership.” – Jerry Nadler
Many NRA members favor sensible gun controls.
Interesting interview with one of the mini-Mitts:
BILL LUMAYE: I’m going to ask something I think a lot of people want to know, or at least I do. What is it like for you to hear the President of the United States call your dad a liar. How do you react to that?
TAGG ROMNEY: Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him. But you know you can’t do that because… Well, first there is a lot of Secret Service between you and him but also because this is the nature of the process.
You know another question we could ask Tagg or Catch or Hula Hoop or whatever his name is? How about “how does it feel to hear the President call your dad a liar, and then have the fact checkers back it up?” We could also phrase that as ‘how does it feel to know your dad is a liar and pathetic sack of shit?'”
But then Foursquare or whatever his name is is the same quality jerk. What is his worry about taking a swing at a guy for being right? Oh yeah, the secret service.
They sure raise those Romney’s to be classy.
The best animations I’ve ever seen have come from an international site called Futureshorts.com.
Disquieting media to say the least, but you may recall that some of the most horrifying stories ever told in books were for children.
This one is from Germany, where people might know something about the ill effects of unbridled capitalism:
Has a good ending which points here, but I don’t speak German even though I’m half German. I DO know that Germans are innovators in green energy. We could have been, but that’s the way things go.
Don’t know where this one’s from, but sleep well:
Update: Just happened on this tonight. Could self-bridled capitalism be taking root? Take a look at this video and visit the site of this business. I don’t think Willie Nelson would have offered his services if this weren’t real:
There is a long history of greedy businesses catering to our green sensitivities – BP comes to mind -, but I’m certainly going to check this out.
^^ That was yesterday. ^^
The most depressing part of this frightening video is that Herman Cain was leading in the polls for GOP Presidential Candidate. What the hell is going on with that party?
This was today…
“I do not agree with the way he handled it for the following reason,” Cain started, before cutting himself off. “Nope, that’s a different one.” Cain shifted in his chair, adjusted his jacket and looked up again.
“I got all this stuff twirling around in my head,” he added.
Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain talks to the Journal Sentinel editorial board about the Obama administration’s handling of Libya. November 14, 2011
I hate country music, but there is something sickly optimistic in this music video parody. This is for the ages.
When Toby Keith came out in support of Obama it proved that even backwards hicks think he’s the better candidate. Source
Especially for Ken and anyone suffering from the wishful thinking that we liberals are obedient, loyal followers like Bushies. Surprise surprise, we Democrats are as critical of Democrats as they are of scum sucking war criminals, liars, chimps, and their handlers on the other side of the aisle.
We are rebuilding the same edifice. We are re-establishing the primacy of the same companies. We are still building in a too-big-to-fail structure so that so that we as taxpayers will be guarantors of companies that when they get into trouble again, we will bail them out. None of this is being confronted by the administration as they, and we through our tax dollars, resuscitate a broken system – Spitzer interview below.
For those of you who still question the premise that liberals/Democrats are equal opportunity critics, just go visit ANY of the bastions of deep, intellectual, progressive thought and action. Viewed objectively (impossible for authoritarian follows) these sites actually reflect near perfect objectivity.
As children, well into adulthood and sometimes throughout life (the twenty percenters) we think everybody thinks like us. This Darwinian trait is over expressed in the conservative mind and most recently, largely responsible for the circular firing squad on the right.
According to science, the authoritarian mind views others first in terms of tribal identification as measured by loyalty. Those who agree with me vs those who don’t. That’s why the Republican party is purging itself. Disagreement with the party line means exile while in the Democratic party you have the ‘Big Tent’ thing.
This fact is well illustrated among politicos like Mitt Romney, John McCain, Steele, even Spectre whose position change with the prevailing wind. What we are seeing today is confusion about where the wind is coming from for a community that needs a helmsman, a leader to follow.
This is toooooo funny h/t HuffPost
The inimitable Andy Cobb is at it again, taking libertarians to task for their hatred of all things government. You know what has no government? Somalia. So Cobb and the Public Service Administration have made this video encouraging libertarians to vacation in the broken country maintained by “rational self interest and libertarian magic dust.”
I especially like the part where Romney claims that the Republicans are the party of the revolutionaries and Democrats are the “party of the Monarchists” the ultimate irony being that both he a Jeb Bush are heirs to their Fathers’ political fortunes and influence.
Hath Mitt NO SHAME?

|Republicans: The Lost Party|
Link - As the party comes to grips with its status as a regional political force that cannot hold historically Republican districts in New York, cannot keep a five-term senator from Pennsylvania in the caucus, and cannot appear to stem the popularity of a Democratic president who has made inroads in the West, throughout the Midwest, and even in pockets of the South.
Jon Stewart had a segment last night entitled “Republicans: The Lost Party” and stories like this one only serve to feed that narrative as the party feeds on itself. In Illinois, we have seen the circular firing squad that is the state GOP keep the party down for most of this century — the state chair is inevitably the subject of scathing criticism from within, and finger-pointing is the rule rather than the exception. The same dynamics now appear to be at work in the RNC.
It couldn’t happen to a nicer group of people.
And this is the real America. I know. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania. The part that voted for Bush twice and McCain Palin.
This is the enemy in the Culture War brought to you in a series of dispensations from Newt Gingrich and Tom Delay to Rove and Bush and whats left of the Republican Party.
Listen to the whole thing. This is also the core of the gun lobby.
Of the Tea Parties, Paul Krugman wrote…
Republicans have become embarrassing to watch. And it doesn’t feel right to make fun of crazy people. Better, perhaps, to focus on the real policy debates, which are all among Democrats.
But here’s the thing: the G.O.P. looked as crazy 10 or 15 years ago as it does now. That didn’t stop Republicans from taking control of both Congress and the White House. And they could return to power if the Democrats stumble. So it behooves us to look closely at the state of what is, after all, one of our nation’s two great political parties.
